THE OLYMPIC SPIRIT of 1968 (VINTAGE STAMPS)

In 1968, 
we were treated to Winter Olympic Games In Grenoble, Belgium. 
The Summer Olympic Games happened In Mexico city, Mexico.


That year, 
Germans 
celebrated Pierre de Coubertin
founder of the modern day Olympic Games.

  1. There are some nice Olympic stamps. That's the first time I heard of RAS al KHAIMA though.

    I bought a packet of Olympic stamps in the dimestore once--I think it was about 1980. I looked at them not too long ago and was surprised that they were mostly from countries that I wouldn't expect to see. They must have been made just for collectors.
