Such a beautiful [cold] day!!
I went for a stroll,
skipping lunch altogether.
I had been waiting all winter to show you this.
I waited 'till the sun would shine on something this beautiful.
I would love to live where there are such windows.
So elegant and romantic,
Admiring those buds that came out in the last (summer-ish) week,
only to face the cold this week.
Will they survive?
One hopes so...
If I skipped lunch,
I see it is not the case for everyone,
but given what this horse is eating,
I do not feel envious at all!!
The Cirque du Soleil is back in town,
in its usual spot in the Old Port of Montreal.
Seeing here St Helene Island and the tip of Cite du Havre.
Man, the Calder sculpture.
And I've always loved this pavilion at the tip of Cite du Havre
overlooking the St Lawrence river and Montreal's cityscape.
The Clock Tower standing proudly in the sunlight,
and the Jacques Cartier bridge far in the back,
trying to hide La Ronde.
The Marche Bonsecour,
often featured on this blog.
Its reflection in the Bonsecour Bassin,
in Old Montreal.
but the seagulls had moved on eastward.
That's pretty much all you hear in the district,
their plaintive cries...
Much junk to feed on,
And just before I reached my workplace,
I took a glance at the werstern most section of the Viger Park,
and I felt the afternoon light was just perfect,
highlighting the geometry of the site.
A picture done quickly
before I rushed back to work,
content with what I had seen today.
