ABOUT LAST NIGHT (096/365 DAYS, V2.0)

Let me confuse you a bit... 

It is now Sunday morning, 

but these pictures were taken last night, 

so I posted this as Saturday April 7th even though we are now the 8th, 

because they were yesterday's pictures, 

and you will get more today, 

I promise!! 

So, 

I saw some friends last night to celebrate 

my change of name which is now [finally] legal, 

and my change of age as well, 

as my birthday is happening this weekend. 

But any reason to see each others is enough reason to celebrate. 

There were flowers to decorate the table...

...and some candles, 

but no cake as such things are not necessary anymore. 

We wouldn't want the cake to collapse under the weight and heat 

from all the candles now required due to our respective age. 

Is there a law on how many candles you can put on a cake? 

There should be!!!

We picked up some food from PIRI PIRI, 

opting for Portuguese grilled chicken and sausage. 

There was also a salad, 

but I didn't touch it in the end, 

as we realized we already had too much food on the table for the three of us... 

and more than enough wine to get us through the evening.

We shared memories and laughters, 

and I also got some B-day cards and gifts!! 

One was a gift card from Simons, 

to hopefully increase my hat collection; 

and the other gift was the latest CD from one of my favorite singers:

MELANIE FIONA!!

I didn't bring my tripod, 

but the girls wanted me to be in the picture, 

so we made do with whatever could hold the camera long enough 

for a group picture. 

And Voila!! 

The evening came to an end, 

with promises to see each others again... 

Let's hope we won't have to wait for someone's birthday, 

or else, 

that'll be in the Fall... 

Let's make sure we find a spot in the sun 

we can spend summer at comfortably, 

with plenty of sangria and food. 

I smell STEAK FRITES!!
