LAST WALL STANDING, AND MORE (091/365 DAYS, V2.0)

I suppose they intend to save this facade for some future building.
WHY?

I don't see any special features
and I seem to remember there was a bath house somewhere around there.
What's there to save?

They sure put in a lot of effort to preserve it.
Oh well!!

Again,
my fetish with metal.
A random grid.

Beautiful geometry reminiscent of the mid '60s.
The hotel did open in 1967 in time for Expo '67.

with a birdcage to boot!!
A more humble abode...

Marie Reine du Monde Cathedral's reflection.

Random urban patterns.

showing signs of a recent students protest.

Bright reflection of downtown Montreal.

The Jacques Cartier Bridge in the afternoon,
and the moon making an early appearance.

Moon in daylight.

That's it for today!!
I'm happy with these.

  1. Here you go again! Love this!
Maybe there is a city ordinance that requires certain buildings or parts thereof be preserved. I know that is the case here, for the most part. That facade just may make all the difference in the world as far as fitting into and preserving the past.

  2. @ JIM:
From memory, I cannot recall anything spectacular going on there,
except in the basement where there was a gay gym and bath house...
I'd have to do some research to see what the previous century might reveal.
    Some other time, perhaps...
