FRESHLY WASHED 4 U in MONTREAL!! (155/365 DAYS, V2.0)

When daylight finally crept over the city, 

it was only to reveal a grey day, 

one full of thunder and lightning, 

clouds and rain. 

While the view here looks pretty, 

all things considered, 

only minutes later did the downpour removed all visibility, 

making me despair on how I'd get to work 

without drowning on my way there, 

even considering taking a cab 

but at the last minute, 

things quieted down to the point where 

I could walk to work!!

On my way there, 

I came across those ferns 

which I thought looked great in this bleak [too] early morning light[???], 

after being freshly washed by the heavy rain, 

and dried by the steady wind...

I had lunch on a terrace with a colleague, 

with a partly cloudy sky 

but it felt nice to sit outside. 

As I finally left work, 

I went to do some grocery 

and felt a few raindrops on my way home, 

but the sun came back briefly. 

And now that I am writing this, 

the air feels too hot and stuffy, 

and I've just heard the thunder a minute ago. 

There it goes again!! 

I expect it to be rather nasty, 

once it starts falling. 

I'm just glad I'm safely home, 

with enough cat food to feed them for the next two weeks, 

I kid you not!! 

One of the building managers saw me in the elevator 

and thought that was a lot of cat food... 

I swore I had only two cats, 

but that I did empty a shelf of one specific brand and type of food, 

as my cats don't like the rest... 

What can I say?!?
