What so odd, you'd say!?!...
My day proved pretty average [for a change],
and the oddness comes from elsewhere,
but then,
perhaps it's just me.
For starters,
two pictures today,
an odd mix surely
as their only connection is to have been taken on the same day.
First,
while the night still tried to linger around,
I took a look at those Xmas decos in the Village
and I'm not sure I like them all that much.
It's not bloody awful,
nor is it truly brilliant...
Perhaps it's just me,
but then they do what they're supposed to do:
Decorate!!
And then you have Mother Nature,
totally pms-ing...
Sometime cloudy,
sometime sunny,
kind of warm in the sun,
really cold when cloudy,
and that ever present wind that never seem to tire...
Perhaps it's just me,
but I'm already missing the early Fall
which was more clement toward us.
Truth be told here though,
I'm still wearing my short cargo pants and no socks in my shoes...
No perhaps here,
IT IS "JUST ME"!!
I'm still unwilling to don my Harleys or my army boots with long pants
as when I'll do,
it'll be for months to come...
NO!!!
I just can't!!
Not yet at any rate...
I still need my body to embrace the morning air,
the caress of the midday sun,
to feel free [of clothes, as much as legally possible],
before I am forced to drag my feet in the endless snow...
Yes,
I am that odd!!

It is just that 'oddness' that keeps us coming back for more... this is quite an 'opposites attract' kind of post but I love both the pictures. Those kinds of days when the sky can't decide if it should be cloudy are clear are actually my favorite. It is as if Mother Nature is taunting all of us on those days.
ReplyDelete:)
I see you like being teased...
DeleteI don't!!
Just put it out there and let me deal with it.
I feel silly in my rain jacket under a warm sun,
and I don't like getting my wools all soggy
if I didn't plan on rain...
Get the picture?!?
;D~

Yes,I agree Xmas decorations are very average, no artistic flair. No flying angels with trumpets,or father Christmas sitting on a cloud munching on a bun; reindeer Hugo, or whatever his name is trying to slip through a chimney again...yes it is very boring just tinsel in all the colours available or not; no holy family in sight any more; baby Jesus grown up tztzz...what can we do?
ReplyDeleteThis is in the GAY Village,
Deleteso I wouldn't be expecting seeing Baby Jesus nor is it a requisite [for me],
but I just think these look a bit awkward...
That's all.
There's always next year!!
Have you done yours yet?!?
