Oh I can hear you all from here,
going "O-o-o-h!" and "A-a-a-a-h!",
"Look at the lovely color!" and "Just look at those pretty shapes!!"
Snap out of it,
this crap is SNOW,
S-N-O-W,
I tell ya...
:(~
The first real snowstorm over the city,
not so magical after all,
considering it all turned to slush by morning,
making a big mess of everything.
I thought the deal for me to [kinda] like Winter
was for it to happen between Dec15th to Jan15th.
This is most disappointing,
but it's pretty hard to argue with Mother Nature,
isn't it?!?...
;)~
There's a guy I didn't miss since last winter.
He has a parking lot the size of a handkerchief to clear from snow and yet,
it'll take him about 3 hours [at least] to do it,
at night,
OF COURSE!!!
Most annoying!!
On my way to work,
the bike path was cleared better then the sidewalks if at all,
and no abrasive to keep us from slipping,
but plenty of puddles to sink in.
By lunchtime,
abrasive by the kilo to the point that you had to walk around it
to keep from slipping on it.
And a few fences ripped off the ground in the process,
either by city workers or subcontractors.
Better get used to it:
I HATE WINTER
AND I'M NOT AFRAID TO BITCH ABOUT IT!!!
:D~

I'm with the bears; I mostly hibernate until it's over. Stay warm, TB!

You got the snow and we got the rain! One of the advantages living near the ocean I guess!! OOOOOO, AHHHHHHH! What great photos!!! Kidding.....
ReplyDeleteI do bitch/whine/complain against winter,
Deletemainly because it is hard for me getting around with my back problems on the ice and snow,
but to be fair, we had a splendid summer and a more than decent fall,
so it is now winter time. I just hope it won't be a bitter one
and that there'll be nice days where I'll be able to enjoy going outside without
too many risks for me. Que sera sera!!
:)~
