While still in the dark,
the city felt eerie with the large piles of snow everywhere
and no big traffic [yet].
I took a picture of this to express an almost serene state
to contrast with the havoc the recent snowstorm had caused over Montreal
in the last 24 hours...
But we've survived,
even if we were grinding our teeth on our way home...
During the day,
I took these two pics of the construction next door.
Sorry about the quality of the pictures,
they were taken through a very dirty window...
But it gives you a fair idea of how much snow we've received:
45 centimeters!!
F&ck me sideways!!!
:(~
There was a lot of that,
cars snowed in,
probably until Springtime...
Joking here as it would be illegal to indefinitely leave your car there like that.
I am sure children had a field day with all of that snow,
but I am not sure adults were as enthusiastic about it.
I know I wasn't.
But the mild air in the morning felt really nice,
getting around in the city
and the sun was ever so bright.
Can't complain!!!
:)~
Footnotes:
1.
I'm starting a stretch of five days off gladly,
as I worked only two days this week
but were they ever so brutal or what,
not just due to the snowstorm,
trust me,
even if that didn't help at all.
2.
I was surprised by some people's kindness toward me.
Most grateful.
Thank you!!
3.
Nobody noticed that I had officially completed my "365 DAYS" yesterday,
except...
It is not yet completed!!
I know only too well
I had started that project two years ago on a January 3rd.
I know I've not been consistent and did not post pictures every single day this year,
but I more than made up for it on other days.
So no guilt on my part.
But I can only assume I lost count somewhere along the way,
making me reach the count of "365" a little earlier than I should.
No matters,
I think I gave you plenty to look at over the year.
But until the end of the year,
I'll just be identifying my posts as "365+".
Thank you!!
:)~
