Midnight struck
and we all heard the bangs of the city's first fireworks,
over at the Old Port.
I didn't go over there but got this pic from my balcony instead,
quickly with no tripod,
as I was barefoot and barechest as well while taking this.
Still got the footprints to prove it in the little snow remaining on the balcony.
I eventually found my way to bed but woke up often,
my mouth feeling dry.
Had water for a change,
not coffee...
Hey, water's not bad!!
Woke up to a glorious sunny morning,
obviously started coffee and opened the computer to check out what I'd missed so far...
This first morning of the new year feels pretty normal so far,
but I know there is much ahead for me.
I just hope there will be some positive spin to all of this.
Once again I find myself willing to embrace the new
and letting go of the old as much as one can do such a thing,
as some issues initiated in 2012 still need to be resolved.
While there is a serious side to Life,
I do hope there will still be some sparkle left in my life
to enjoy and to share,
of course!!
Not too much,
just enough to keep it interesting.
I'll leave excesses to others now.
I've done my share of that in the past...
Happy New Year to One & All!!

Thanks Bruno! Happy New Year to you too! Finding that balance, they say, is the 'key'! I'll be watching to see if you find it and then I'll run with it!! lol Have a great day.
ReplyDelete"Balance", he says...
DeleteThat'll be the day since I've always been a beast of all excesses.
I'll let you know how it goes,
no worry!!
