My world turned into a blank canvas this morning when,
after watching a movie,
I turned around and looked outside.
I could no longer see across the river,
nor could I see my bridge.
Barely,
I could make out the outline of a few trees.
The temperature was [unseasonably] mild
but Winter still tried to annoy us.
No matter!!
I am warm and cozy inside
and my cats take an occasional peek outside,
wondering at all of these snowflakes.
Beware the flurry of a Winter scorned!!

Watching a movie in the morning? The last time I did that, it was the 90s remake of "The Fly," and I watched it over my oatmeal. I found that it didn't go well with oatmeal.
ReplyDeleteThere ain't that many snacks that go well with that movie,
DeleteI'll grant you that much.
I watched a scifi movie I had in waiting for some time now,
and since I have the week off, I indulged myself.
Why not take it easy?!?...
:D~

Ah, Brenda!!
Deletethat's so sweet,
and yet...
As I've said elsewhere recently,
those who would find such a thing poetic
are exactly those who don't have to live in it for months.
But I'll grant you this much:
Winter does have its moments.
Some, sometimes...
Not that much really,
but some...
;)~
