Springtime arrives tomorrow
and today we got [so far] 27cm of snow...
Doesn't smell like Spring to me right now,
but it feels mild,
I'll give it this much.
I was up all night
so I saw the morning traffic trudging its way into the city,
heard the first snowplowers trying to clear the way,
and I went to bed,
after two coffeepots!!!
I'm now looking at people going home
and I'm glad I got to stay home.
Nice to have some time off!!
Doing things at my own rhythm...
It almost looks pretty from here!!
Cars going by underneath a canopy of snow,
almost romantic!!
Young and carefree.
Weren't we all once upon a time?!?...
Funny how I'm braver to photograph people
when I am far away and above them...
I don't know where that dog wanted to go
but it definitely disagreed with its owner's wish.
As I watched them for a couple of minutes,
it was clear the dog had another agenda...
Typical backyard of Montreal,
well,
typical in some districts around town.
If my mom was still alive,
she'd be nostalgic about these:
clotheslines!!
I never cared for those.
Give me a washer and dryer any day;
but every time my parents were looking for an apartment,
a clothesline was always a plus.
Go figure...
Hanging my clothes for everyone to see?
No thanks!!
But I thought I'd mention my mom would have like this.
A narrow street where you can see at the end
a snowplower still busy clearing up some snow
while a guy is removing the snow from his car.
Better them than me,
I always say!!
I didn't notice the bird when I took the picture
but I find it is a nice addition.
Hardly a surprise,
the river being so close by.
Tree branches laden with snow.
Pretty!!
One thing is for sure:
I didn't stand underneath one
as snow kept falling from trees and rooftops...
Birds will like these once Spring settles in.
And MY bridge,
of course!!
Get home safe!!
It'll all soon be over.

Great pictures as ever, especially the people. Here we rarely use a drier as you you would be mad not to hang your laundry outside. The good thing is they dry so quickly that they're back indoors before anyone else can see them (not that they give a damn anyway).
ReplyDeleteI guess...
DeleteBut, (despite what my blog might say since I reveal so much here),
I am a rather private person...
Hard to believe, is it not!?!
