SUNDAY MORNING (090/365 DAYS, 3.0)

That magical moment,
just before the sun actually peaks over the horizon,
shades of pastel coloring the sky,
while gulls fly around screaming their soulful lament at each others.
Everything is quiet,
on the streets,
over the bridge
and on the river.
Almost like I'm the last man living on earth,
the last but not alone,
as my cats looked at me through the window while I took this pic,
ever wondering what I'm doing...
Me, my cats, and the birds.
Even if I went back to take another picture,
it just wouldn't be the same.
The sun, though still low over the horizon,
has completely changed the color scheme now.
The magic is now gone
and a new day has arisen.
I have chores to do but feel not like it [as usual].
I'll just sip my coffee
and mull things over for a while...
Have a good day!!
:)~

  1. Oh I think you've written a poem and I'm not surprised. A moment captured beautifully.

    1. A poet? Hardly!! But I am a romantic and I am sensitive to semantics.
Funny to say that I am sensitive when I can be so brutal sometimes...
I'm awkward with words but I just let them flow here,
hardly looking back, publishing them and trusting they'll do their job,
to convey an idea, a feeling. The pictures I take speak for me more than I could myself.
      But thanks for thinking so...

  2. I have just deleted a comment.
It presented itself like a spammer
    as we see them nowadays.
    More personal, with a link...
    Always a link!!
No offense, but no spamming here please.
    Thank you!!
You've been quite active lately on blogs,
    randomly, but active.
It leaves a trace, you know?!?...
    Just like a spammer.

  3. A very special moment to 'capture'. I understand when it all changes...it is not the same at all. As it should be.
Oh yes the spammers are working overtime lately! Must be spring!!

    1. And they have a new strategy which I see coming a mile away...
They won't get any luck with me.
I am quite vigilant about these things.
      :D~

    2. Bruno, I have eliminated all spammers by simply clicking on 'registered users only' in the dashboard on 'settings'......instead of keeping it open to everyone including the spammers. It works!!!!

    3. I had done that months ago and it was all good,
but that recent comment seemed suspect to me.
A blog, very commercial, with a gentle [personalized] comment,
not like they did before, saying nothing really pertinent about your post
      and leaving a link.
They try to draw traffic their way,
but I won't let them, not on my blog.
As we say here: "Tolerance Zero!!"
      :)~

  4. You paint a lovely scene, my friend, both with your words and your pictures.

    1. Two weeks of rest can do that to you, it would seem.
But it's all been shot to hell with my first day back at work.
      What a mess!!
Still, I'll put things back the way they were, gradually...
      :D~

but please note that any comment with a link
