TRASH & MORE (093/365 DAYS, 3.0)

Looking at trash today,
among other things...

I would like to point out THIS is NOT my trash!!
This is from a restaurant nearby,
which explains the many [empty] bottles of wine,
which inspired the title:
"SO MANY BOTTLES AND NOT A DROP TO DRINK!!"
;)~

I saw this poor plant in the early morning hours
and I felt sorry for it.
It's obvious it's likely been left outside on a balcony or terrace all winter long,
and someone decided to trash it instead of trying to salvage it.

By noon,
it was still there
and there was no one to give it a second chance...
Ah, to be beautiful again!!!
Sorry Honey,
no such luck!!
And you might wonder why I didn't take it home
if I felt sorry for it.
My answer:
Two cats!!
It doesn't stand a chance...

And lastly for today,
I don't usually photograph people.
I'm still too timid about that...
except with my friends,
of course!!
They trust me to do enough Photoshop that they'll feel good about it.
But this guy was way too busy
to notice me and get annoyed with me for photographing him.
It's on a construction site nearby for some chic condos,
apparently....
Please note that he is wearing a harness
for his own safety.
Wouldn't want to fall off that window!!!
I know the view from there must be to die for
but let's not take it to the letter...

That's it for today!!

  1. Funny thing about the working guy there is that he looks old in the picture. Fiberglas sheathing. That's interesting. I guess you don't need for structural support in such a building.

    1. He wasn't young, let's leave it at that,
but I believe him to be younger than you and I!!!

There are huge pillars of concrete for support
but concrete can be cold so a little fiberglass will insulate the building.
It gets cold around here, you know!?!
      :D~

    2. It's just that my work and knowledge is all about wood-frame buildings. I remember walking in downtown Minneapolis in winter watching those guys work high-up in the guts of large buildings, and wondering how the heck they stood the cold, not to mention the height.

    1. I don't think so.
Your ego does, yours and so many.
      But you trust me now,
      after all of those years,
      no?!?
