GLORY & DESTINY (126/365 DAYS, 3.0)

T'was a glorious day today,
very bright and warm.

As you walked underneath this tree,
a storm of petals fell all over you.
A nice change from snow...
I don't think anyone minded a little sprinkle
while enjoying the sweet fragrance in the shade of those branches.

Meanwhile,
I witnessed a little drama
as a daffodil had laid its head on the chopping block.
I don't know for what sin other than the fact that many consider these a nuisance...
Ever Nature's underdog,
this one is ready to take one for the team
Sad to see something so young about to perish...
:/~

  1. I think it is a dandelion. When I visited Canada it was the first time that I had seen Dandelions sold at markets to eat. I never knew they could be eaten, the leaves that is.

    1. Yes, I learned that from Italians that the young leaves can make a tasty dish.
And you can also make some kind of wine with these.
But my mom made tomato wine, a recipe she got from some Polish woman.
      Potent stuff!!!
      :D~
