There is a new building in the neighborhood that has recently started its operations:
The brand new research center of the CHUM,
(Centre Hospitalier de l'Universite de Montreal).
I am quite happy for them to finally have a place to call home
to pursue their research.
It's been a long time coming...
Here you can see Jean-Olivier Chenier's sculpture pointing at the crCHUM,
which is only an illusion here
as he is actually pointing East...
Could the sculpture be turned around without moving its base?
That would be cool IMO!!
Some artworks are already installed at the crCHUM.
There is a fairly large steel sculpture outside the building,
yet to be properly identified...
and some colorful mural inside.
I've combined details of both to create this.
"Where Are They Now?",
Seen in the hallway,
rows after rows of chairs,
all empty while I was there.
The more people move into their space,
the more these chairs are likely to be filled with people,
laughter, questions and answers [hopefully],
upon break time or lunch time.
May they all enjoy this new place
and fulfill the promise we were given,
that there is a bright future in research...
